Yoga is much beyond Yogāsana which is what it has come to be identified with. Yoga is a lifestyle, a state of being, a form of existence that can take eons to fathom. These are my chronicles from my attempt to unravel this enchanting enigma by first contemplating on its precepts and then attempting to internalize it by way of experincing it first hand.

#Nyasta

One of the many meanings of the word Nyasta in Saṃskṛt is ‘mystically touched’. We call them sages, saints, gurus etc. and yet at their core they are nothing but divinity personified for they shine like the stars and brighten up every living soul they touch. Only the truly fortunate encounter these Māhātama(s) in flesh. The rest of us have to be content with cherishing their words and legends as chronicled. These are pearls of wisdom from some of these Nyasta(s) that I have come to cherish over time.

#Storytelling

Storytelling has been in our DNA forever. Consciously or not, knowingly or otherwise, storytelling is something we do all the time. The thing most of us don’t do too well is focus on our storytelling skillset. We ignore it, we shy away from it, we downplay its role in our lives and in these days in the age of AI, we are happy to outsource it to the automatons. Nonetheless, the fact remains that the quality of our professional success and personal felicity is directly corelated to our ability to tell engaging and enchanting stories. These are some storytelling nuggets I have picked up over time.
